Ramona English, DMD, serves as the Chief Dental Officer. She joined Petaluma Health Center sixteen years ago with the mission of starting the dental program. Dr. English is passionate about increasing access to high quality, patient-centered care. She has led the dental program through major expansions as well as through the implementation of school based programs. Under Dr. English’s leadership, the dental team has been participating in national and state-level quality improvement projects and innovative programs such as medical-dental integration and teledentistry. In addition to overseeing the clinical and operational aspects of the dental program, Dr. English is excited about serving and connecting with the West Marin community.
Dr. English obtained both a nursing degree and a dental degree in her native country. Later, she obtained her DMD degree from University of Pittsburgh, School of Dental Medicine. While at University of Pittsburgh, Dr. English completed the Schweitzer Fellowship program. Prior to joining PHC, Dr. English spent four successful years in private practice.
Her other passions are living a sustainable life and environmental conservation. Dr. English is a certified UC Naturalist and UC Climate Steward. She keeps bees, chickens and gardens when not out hiking and birding.
